Toasted Blinis with Cream Cheese and Salmon Caviar

This is one of many delicious toppings for toasted blinis.   

You can substitute Salmon Caviar with the more readily available Danish Black Caviar.   

These are quite delicious and look very inviting! 

​

Try topping cream cheese with smoked salmon, sprinkling of Sweet Paprika, a

squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a tiny sprig of curly parsley.

 

 

 

Ingredients

 

  • One packet of blinis (16)

  • One tub of full fat cream cheese

  • One glass pot of Salmon Caviar and you can also use Black Danish Caviar (Lumpfish Roe)

 

 

Method

 

 

  1. Turn on the grill to full heat. 
     

  2.  Now spread the blinis out on a flat baking tray and place under the grill for three minutes (but keep an eye on them) 
     

  3.  Turn them over and grill the undersides for two minutes, remove from grill and place on cake rack. 
     

  4.  Now spread each blini with a generous knob of cream cheese. 
     

  5.  Using a teaspoon, place a small dollop on top of each dressed blini. 
     

  6. Ready to serve
