Lamb Kebabs with Bharat

This is a delicious Middle Eastern spice commonly used for both shish and doner kebabs

 

Oven-Baked Lamb Shish

You’ll need:

  • 500g lamb shoulder or leg, cut into cubes

  • 2 tbsp Baharat Lamb Shish Seasoning

  • Optional: 1 grated onion, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tbsp plain yogurt or olive oil

  • Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

  • Baking tray + foil

Method

  1. Mix lamb with seasoning and optional ingredients.

  2. Marinate for at least 2 hours.

  3. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes.

  4. Thread lamb onto skewers and place on a foil-lined tray.

  5. Bake at 200°C (fan) for 20–25 mins, turning once.

  6. Grill for 2 mins at the end for extra char if you like.

 Chicken Doner with Bharat in a Loaf Tin

Ingredients

 

  • 500g minced chicken thigh or breast

  • 2 tbsp Baharat Chicken Döner Seasoning

  • Optional: 1 grated onion, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 tbsp plain yogurt or olive oil

  • Standard loaf tin (bread tin)

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients until sticky and uniform.
     

  2. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
     

  3. Press the mixture tightly into a loaf tin.
     

  4. Bake at 200°C (fan) for 35–40 mins, until cooked through and golden on top.
     

  5. Let it cool slightly, remove from the tin, then slice thin.
     

  6. A simple way to make stacked-style döner without special tools.
     

  7. Serve with flatbread, rice, or fresh chopped salad.
